this week, the nasdaq (IXIC) achieved a significant milestone, breaking above the diagonal resistance line that had previously capped its price ascent since it hit around ~14,450 in july.
this bullish breakout propelled the price rapidly towards a resistance point near ~14,100. however, during the trading session on wednesday, the price struggled to breach this threshold. in technical analysis, it's not unusual for prices to revisit the trendline post-breakout for a retest. this theory could set up a scenario to possibly consider initiating a SHORT position from the current level to the trendline.
